Steve Jones

Steve Jones is the Vice President – Chief Financial Officer of Delta Star, Inc. a leading manufacturer of medium power transformers and mobile substations. Prior to joining Delta Star, Mr. Jones was Chief Executive Officer of McLeod & Company, a CPA firm located in Roanoke, VA. Mr. Jones was a partner with the firm for over 12 years specializing in manufacturing and distressed company turnarounds. He holds an undergraduate degree from Virginia Tech and an MBA degree from Wake Forest.

Brian A. Palmieri

After attending Tennessee Technological University, Mr. Palmieri began his professional career in the manufacturing sector, gaining training and experience before assuming management roles that have included domestic and international start-ups, acquisitions, corporate restructuring, and ongoing operations, in both U.S. and international businesses. His diversified businesses include outfitting, timber, manufacturing, trade, consultant, healthcare products and real estate.

Today Mr. Palmieri is a veteran entrepreneur. He has been instrumental in several start-up ventures, turn-around efforts and he has a unique understanding of the requirements of starting and operating both public and private companies.

Currently, Mr. Palmieri has business interests in several states within the USA, and he also travels the Globe and is involved in various humanitarian ventures as well as seeking out business development and start-up opportunities as both an investor and a consultant.

Mr. Palmieri is a resident of the state of Wyoming and also spends a lot of his time in South Carolina, a state in which he has several business interests.

Larry Cox

After graduating from Mississippi College, Cox received the master’s degree from Southern Baptist Seminary and from Mississippi State University. He received a PhD in organizational leadership from the University of Mississippi. Married to Cheryl Keathley Cox, they have four children and 16 grandchildren. For 23 years while living in six different countries, Dr. Cox led personnel in 42 countries in West Africa, Eastern Europe, and the Middle East and North Africa. Cox also served as a university professor and administrator for six years. For 14 years he led philanthropic organizations of Chick-fil-A, and he retired as President of Lifeshape, Inc. Presently, through his consulting business, CoxNichols LLC, Cox helps families have transformational experiences rather than transactional ones while sharing their wealth with others.

Lee Deneen

Lee serves on the board of CGS and is a lawyer in Atlanta, at Alston & Bird. After graduating from Furman University summa cum laude, Lee earned a law degree at the University of Georgia, where he graduated first in his class. Following graduation, Lee clerked for the Honorable John M. Rogers, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. Lee’s practice currently focuses on international arbitration and federal civil litigation.

Lee enjoys travel and does so frequently. He has been a part of a number of bridge-building initiatives in Europe and Africa. He has also previously lived in South Carolina, California, Kentucky, Georgia, France, and Belgium.

Callie Murphy

Callie Murphy graduated with a degree in Communications from the University of Texas. She then spent two years involved in ethnographic research in Northeastern India. She returned to the states to pursue a graduate degree from Wheaton College. Following graduate school, Callie and her husband, Chris, worked in refugee resettlement with World Relief serving refugees from various nations. From there the Murphys moved to the Middle East to work in humanitarian aid with a focus on Yemen. They have now re-settled in South Carolina with their three children. Murphy currently works with middle schoolers teaching Geography.


Henry L. Deneen

Henry L. Deneen serves as Executive Director of the Center for Global Strategies, Ltd. (CGS) He also serves as GHNI Geneva's Executive Director (www.ghni.org) and served as President of Greater Europe Mission from 2007- 2015. Henry has experience as a trial attorney, Municipal Judge, and Chief Legal Counsel for Governor David M. Beasley, South Carolina. Henry continues to focus on connecting professionals in the West with government and business leaders in the rest of the world. He has led a broader effort to focus on developmental initiatives in Egypt, Lebanon, Libya, Sudan, Yemen, Turkmenistan, Myanmar, Bulgaria, Dubai, Oman, and Vietnam. Henry earned his Doctorate in Executive Leadership with a focus on Emotional Intelligence in December 2014.
